вчера на 31 году жизни после долгой и продолжительной болезни скоропостижно прекратила своё существование группа R.E.M.
я благодарен им уже только за то, что они сделали эти две вещи:

Мишель
По слухам, Пол Маккартни начал сочинять песню Michelle еще когда никакого Битлз не было - в 1959 году. Так до сих пор и поет. Недавно вот спел ее для Мишель Обамы.
Всяких каверов, естественно, полно. Мне лично по душе оба итальянских кавера - Адриано Челентано и Мины.
Кстати, текст у них разный.
у Мины есть ещё одна, более поздняя версия:
